TASC

SC Prepares website is a product of the Training Advisory Sub-Committee (TASC) of the South Carolina State Bioterrorism Advisory (State BT Advisory) Committee established in 2002. TASC was created to address the education and training needs outlined in CDC's Public Health Preparedness and Response Cooperative Agreement. SC Prepares became the vehicle for TASC's educational efforts, and the website became a portal for sharing this information throughout the state's preparedness community.

In 2005, the State BT Advisory Committee shifted to become South Carolina's Pandemic Influenza Coordinating Council with membership expanded to include additional representatives from local government, education and business. With this shift, TASC has been actively involved in working with schools, healthcare, and businesses to identify resources, training, and speakers focused on the challenges of a pandemic. TASC membership continues to evolve to meet the educational challenges of public health, terrorism, and disaster preparedness in South Carolina.

To enhance public health preparedness in South Carolina by identifying and coordinating training needs and resources.

TASC Membership

Representatives are from public and private agencies and organizations statewide with interests in education and training for all hazards. TASC members are listed on our Links page.
